So I am Michael Curry, and this is the “make it fast” Tumblr page I have set up as I get ready to relaunch my blogging endeavor analyzing the Cleveland Cavaliers and other Cleveland sports stuff. The new site will be called View From 216, named after both the area code of the Greater Cleveland area and, coincidentally, the section of the Cavaliers season tickets I have owned since 2008.
I have been writing about the Cavs on various sites since 2005, starting with my own hosted site and moving on to Ohio.com and Cleveland.com over the past several years. It has been a fun and exciting experience, and has been a great outlet for my passion about basketball in general and Cleveland Cavalier basketball in particular.
But the first half of 2013 saw me hardly writing about the Cavs at all, as three miserable years of bad basketball killed a good chunk of my enthusiasm for useful or at least entertaining analysis. That is not to say that I became less of a fan, but with so little meaningful information to actually analyze, there wasn’t much for me to do.
So I stopped doing it for a little bit. And now I’m going to start doing it again.
This is where that is going to start. I will have a full website at ViewFrom216.com in the very near future, but after such a long break I feel the need to get back in writing shape in smaller chunks. I have found that everything I start writing lately feels like it needs to be grand and perfect, and that just isn’t practical. So instead, I am going to write, and publish, and hope that it all starts to make sense sooner or later.
Go Cavs.
